How It Works

1. Book your free lesson. Pick a time on my calendar.

2. Play your first song. You leave lesson one playing something real.

3. Keep going every week. One 30-minute Zoom lesson, same day and time each week.

Between lessons you're not on your own. You get a recording of every lesson, custom song transcriptions written for your level, and private chat so you can ask me questions any day of the week.

I've taught guitar for 26 years, starting when I was 14. I hold a B.A. in Music from Carthage College in Classical Guitar Performance and Jazz Studies, plus Contemporary Guitar Master Classes at Berklee College of Music.

Seattle Guitar Lesson FAQs

Do you teach in person in Seattle?

Not anymore. Seattle Guitar Academy was my in-person studio. Today every lesson is online over Zoom, with the same teacher and the same method.

What happened to Seattle Guitar Academy?

It became Level Up Your Guitar. That's why seattleguitaracademy.com now sends you here.

What are lesson times in Pacific Time?

My hours are posted in US Central Time. In Seattle that works out to Monday to Thursday 1pm to 6pm, Friday 1pm to 4pm, and Saturday 9:30am to 1:30pm Pacific.

Does online guitar really work?

Yes. You get a lesson recording to rewatch, music written for your level, and chat support between lessons. Plus no commute, which in Seattle is a big deal.
